Working Principle 

Brake unit contains brake coil set, armature plate and flange. Brake unit assembly to motor endshield. The armature unit, by assembled flat spring, flange and plate on the reverse side of the brake coil.

When power on, due to the effect of the magnetic  field, the flanged armature plate is pulled axially towards the brake coil set. Stops armature plate by friction. When the power off, the armature plate is released from the brake coil by flat spring. Release the motor shaft.
